This is the first step of editing, which focuses on the overall organization and logical flow of the piece. I will review your plot, characters, and structure. I will review the entire piece to ensure that the overall message of your written work is carried through in your voice.
Line Edit

In a line edit, I will examine the writing style of your piece. I will pay special attention to the sentence structure, the flow of your writing, and the clarity of the complete project.
proofreading

The final state of your project is proofreading. This review focuses on catching any remaining errors, like typos and formatting, before publication or distribution.
writing/co-writing
I enjoy writing inspirational fiction as it allows me to share my faith through my words. I also write short stories of many genres. Poetry was one of my first loves, and though my poems are simple, they are sketches of my life and emotions. Recently, I began writing short memoirs.
I am open to partnering with another writer to create exciting collaborations or to provide ghostwriting services.

beta reading and transcription
For the past four years, I have been beta-reading short stories, novels, and children’s books, providing feedback to authors from a reader’s perspective.
I will transcribe handwritten poetry, short stories, novels, etc., at very reasonable rates. I also work with writers who primarily use their phone or iPad and need their work formatted.

CAROLE A SELLMAN
I started writing at the age of seven, two years before I gave my life to God. My mother said writing was my God given gift, like music was hers. After years of writing in many formats, I wasn’t satisfied with the results. I realized I was trying to write for the popular market, and not from my heart. That’s when I began to focus on Christian Fiction and Christian Romance.
I also enjoy writing fictional short stories (some based loosely on life memories) and short memoirs. Though my focus is fiction, I still spend time writing poetry.
I am excitedly looking forward to this new phase in my life: editing, proofreading, writing, and beta reading. I would love to work with new and seasoned writers. I can’t wait to meet you.
